Summer Internships available for Boston-based literary agency, The Strothman Agency, LLC.
The Strothman Agency, LLC is a literary agency dedicated to promoting authors of significant books through the entire publishing cycle. Our offices are located on Beacon Hill in Boston, Massachusetts.
We seek enthusiastic summer interns. This unpaid internship is a chance for students interested in publishing to explore what goes on behind the scenes. Successful interns will gain valuable knowledge about the inner workings of the entire publishing industry.
Required Experience
Candidates must have completed their junior year of college or be enrolled in a graduate program and have a strong desire to learn about publishing.
The ideal intern candidates will have: basic computer and internet research skills, excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills, the ability to work well independently, an eye for detail, good judgment, and a willingness to take initiative.
Duties
Interns will be involved in many aspects of the agency. Responsibilities will include: taking part in agency meetings, assisting in reading and evaluating submissions, and maintaining agency databases.
Salary/Hours:
These are part-time, unpaid internships, about 12-16 hours a week. We are happy to work with schools that award college credit.
